Our latest launch, the new website for North Wales Housing, is now live!
NWH is a social enterprise which provides general housing, older persons housing, and supported housing and delivers services to over 2,500 households. We worked with North Wales Housing to re-design and create a more responsive website which was better suited to their evolving vision and aims.
After conducting focus groups with the internal NWH staff and key users, we were able to gain insight into which design concepts were the most visually attractive and engaging. This led us to revamp the image of the website and include content that is more relevant and interesting to users. We implemented social media icons and share facilities throughout the website to create an interactive and engaging environment.
In order to reach a wider audience, and respond to tenant feedback, we designed a web page layout which alters automatically and adapts to different screen sizes to enhance user experience for users on a desktop, mobile or tablet.
We ensured that key services and most popular links/features on the webpage were positioned prominently to facilitate navigation, ensuring that these features are also displayed distinctly and clearly on mobile and tablet devices.
The new website is tenant-focussed and promotes self-service, allowing users to report a repair, pay rent, and stay up to date with latest events and news, all whilst enabling users to choose their preferred language between English and Welsh.
The CMS (Content Management System) allows staff to view which pages have been written in only one language and change this accordingly, ensuring that any content or post has a corresponding translation. This helps staff to view their content in an organised manner, and confirm that they meet the requirements for a bilingual website.
