Annual Housing Conference
The Annual Housing Conference takes place next week in Birmingham, (21st-22nd September) coinciding with the first ever Housing Week. With over 2,000 professionals in attendance, the exhibition is a key event in the calendar for everyone in the housing sector, especially as the sector prepares to adjust to the political climate post-Brexit.
In fact, it seems that there will be a considerable focus on addressing the question on everyone’s lips this year: how will the housing sector cope with the political shift in the midst of a housing crisis?
Also amongst the topical questions featured in the programme is that of the need for housing associations to embrace technology. This seems to be a recurrent theme; the general consensus seems to be that in order to rejuvenate the housing sector and boost efficiency, a drastic change is necessary to relieve the sector from the restraints imposed by its limited use of technology.
On the subject of technology, Active Housing will be exhibiting its online repairs diagnostic tool. Designed for tenant self service and call centre staff, the tool allows the user to report a repair and schedule an appointment in a few simple steps by integrating with existing scheduling systems, allowing the user to instantly book an appointment without leaving the process.
We will be exhibiting our most recent updates to the system, which include:
-enhanced focus on questions and instructions
-greater emphasis on search facility
-improved image display
-simplified repairs basket
